The Intimate Story - Sweet Summer, Sweetly Sexy

So who said that sweet can't be sexy? It's summer time and colours make people happy! Girls, the sweet season can bring you joy, comfort and even a hint of sexy naughty element. The pastel colours or floral patterns just make every part of you so much more feminine and sweetly sexy! :)

Ribbons, lace, polka dots and sweet colors - aren't they all lovely?

I personally always believe that having a comfort lingerie set is very important for us female. It's the most intimate cloth on us, and having the right fit will sculp a nice shape out of us~! :)

P.S: I am quite crazy over lingerie. I am willing to spend to get the good & comfort ones, and of course - that make me feel good and sexy too! hehehe* ;p

This is one of my favourite brand - Wacoal. Their 2013 Spring/Summer designs! <3

Hope you girls all love the intimacy! <3 <3

Summer Big Tee

Summer time! The big hot sun just cracked the land. As I walk out of my office, I melted and started to evaporate. How to stay cool & pretty?

Instead of going for tight fitting clothes, I always love the Big Tee. At least that is how I call it. A big baggy top, let the air flow in and out freely to ventilate your body heat. Sweat gets to evaporate faster, and I won't get so grumpy with my sticky body and oily face. :)

But - that looks very casual. Too casual for some occasion. Does it mean that it isn't as cool if you're putting on something cooling? Not at all! Add in accessories and create your style! A belt, necklace, or a bag! Look at the impact of having the accessories on!

A: Street style - Pair with denim shorts and sneakers. Cool look!
B: If your big blouse has unique patterns, just go with a simple pale color jeans/leggings. Add in a striking belt to show a little feminine waist of yours!
C: Tuck in your big blouse or Big T. Add in a belt. A more manly look but still looking cool!
D: Street diva - Big earings, Big T, and a nice smile :)

Gorgeous Divas, thank you for the support so far! More trendy fashions on the way! <3

To outshine the rest doesn't mean you have to really 'bling bling' all the way. Lace makes a woman woman, it can be sexy it can be sweet, it can be gentle it can be wild. Take a pick (peek)! ;)

Tips #1: To really carry a super hot lace dress, body sculpture & skin condition is important! Moisturise your skin daily and drink enough water to keep your skin hydrated all time!

Spiked with Me

Today's blog is dedicated to one of my loves - Spike.
My black spike heels (similar to the photo above..)
just bid farewell to me this morning before I went to work.
For almost one and a half year, Spike has been through many rainy days with me.
Though it look tough and strong, but the gentle inner lining protected me well,
and everytime I can just slip my feet in with no fear, with no regrets.
Spike, you're being missed. :'(

Charmy Charm

When I was a little girl, I never had a charm bracelet. Maybe because of that, I always find them special. Every charm that is attached on the chain represents something about you. Specially you. But how many of us are lucky enough to collect charm after charm? My first charm bracelet was from my younger brother a few months back. Something very simple, but he managed to find one that has charms that are very meaningful to me. (photo below on the left).

A few weeks back, I bought a bracelet which look a little bit like charm bracelet, but strictly speaking, it's not the real real charm bracelet. It added in elements such as little coins, black linen string, chain and a black crystal. Something chunky enough to make me feel good. (photo above on the right - yeah that's my hand!)

So charm, is not just the simple charm. Add in pearls, add in ribbons, add in crystals, the effect gets amplified, and the satisfaction is more than a normal charm. Try it by mixing a few bracelets, see the effects, and be charming all the time! <3

The Versatile Lace - The Doll vs. The Princess

In Japan, there has been a trend to doll yourself up - really like a doll. The common traits are  - chestnut color hair, thick eyeliner to make your eyes big and round, pale face and lips with a hint of blusher, and a lace lacey sweet dress. Many of them buy the coloured contact lens that make their eyes (pupils) look much brighter and bigger, and some even with colours. The whole make up is to emphasize on the big and round eyes and the sweet lace dress.

The Japanese Doll look:

The Koreans prefer to look more like a princess. A sweet  lace dress do the work. They go with different makeup, sweet and simple, and many a times they pair with pearls accessories. It's more dainty and I have a few pieces where I wear to work sometimes!

The Korean Princess Look:

So which one do you prefer?

For me - when I was younger I had the thought of making myself like a doll. Round big eyes, nut colour hair and a lace dress. But that was all in my younger days! ;)

>> Stay tuned for the Party Lace soon! <3

Fancy Wedges Fancy Shoes!

A good pair of shoes will walk you through your journey. The traditional women used to cover as much as they could, and in some culture, revealing your toes can be inappropriate and rude. But nowadays, people go for pedicure, having nice toe-nails colours, and flaunt their feet in  different types of pretty shoes. And this time, I'm going to share a bit about Wedges, where the shoes make you taller immediately, and it's slightly more comfortable than the super high heels.

They aren't new in the market. But if you notice, they are not the ordinary Wedges I am talking about. Look at their platforms - isn't their colours lovely? :) Adding the colours bring a more lively look, and who say wedges can't make you look sexy!

With the colourful platforms, it's usually more casual. I have a few pairs and my only advice to you is that - walking on a rocky road is quite difficult for the wedges! I lost balance and fell (twice) in my wedges. But I can reassure you that they are much comfy than the pointy skinny devil heels! :)

Tips: Get the lighter wedges! I used to have this pair of quite heavy wedges, and by the time I got back home I felt like it weighs a ton and my calf muscles were all popped up! Almost have a muscle strain. And for your info, that wedges were only worn once! Lesson learnt and all my current ones were just nice in weight! <3

The Versatile Lace - The Elegance

When comes to elegance, lace has been seen as a key element to it. For hundreds of years, lace has never fail to bring out the feminine side of a woman. And nowadays, not just a popular trend on the red carpet, lace has even entered into the men's fashion world. How can anyone resist the temptation?

Lace is not just elegance on the red carpet, not just going to a tea party or dinner. You can incorporate into your daily life easily, still showing the trait of elegance.

And like every little girl's dream, I hope I can ....like a princess someday :)

More on Lace <3 Stay tuned!

Beauty Tips: The Wonderful Ice Cubes

Korean actress Song Hyu Kyu massages her face with ice cube to make it smaller!

Ever wonder how can the movie stars have such a flawless skin that glow and shine all the time? The magic does not only lies in BB cream or concealer. Let me share my secret with you girls - Ice.

When I was a teenager, I have super oily face as I went through my puberty stage. And under the hot weather, the oily face and the huge pores make me feel ugly everytime when I look at the mirror. And worst of all, when the pimples pop out, every time in my T-zone, standing right middle of my nose or forehead, I don't even want to look into the mirror.

Until I read this beauty tips from megazine - Icing your skin can help improve circulation, tone up your skin and ward off wrinkles & pimples. Since a young girl at my age then couldn't afford any expensive skin care products at that time, I decided to try on and until today I have no regrets! It works wonderfully and it's as simple as A-B-C.

1. Shrink away your Pimple

Holding ice on a pesky pimple can get the red out as it helps to decreases inflammation. What I normally do it to wrap an ice cube with a clean handkerchief and hold against affected area for 5-10 minutes. The redness will go away, at least not so obvious, and you'll see the results immediately after that!

2. Glow your skin

Before patting foundation or BB cream over your face, run an ice cube over your face focusing on areas with enlarged pores (most probably your T-zone). The cold water will help tighten up your pores and minimize their appearance under makeup. You'll get the extra smooth result after that with your BB cream on!

(p.s: I have to admit I am lazy in the morning as most of the days I wake up just in time to rush for work. So instead of using ice cube, I rinse my face with the bottle of cold water which I normally store in the fridge. It not only wakes me up immediately, and that gives me a nice glowing smooth skin after my make up!)

With make up on when your pores are tightened, you'll notice that you'll have less blakcheads and outbreaks as it's easier to clean your makeup when you get home!

3. No More Puffy Eyes

You can use ice cube here, but I prefer using a frozen slice of cucumber. Normally I store a few pieces of clean cucumber in my freezer and I use them on my eyes when I have puffy eyes. When my alarm rang, I walked to the fridge and get 2 slices, walked back and lie down again with the cucumber on my eyes, 5 minutes later - tadaa! I am awaked with my pretty eyes again!

Make it a routine in your daily skin care. You'll definitely see the difference!

P.S: In most of the Southeast Asian countries, we have super hot and humid weather. Especially when I was in Malaysia, I saw many people munching ice whenever we have meals out in the hot weather. It's easy to get within budget, and it quench your thirst and heat in a wonderful way! One of my Malaysian friends' favourite desserts - Ice Kacang (In Malay - it means shaved ice with nuts). They usually come with colours (with different colour syrups poured over the mountain of ice) and below the ice mountain you can find treasures including red beans, sweet corns, nutes, jelly etc. Any of you coming to Malaysia or Singapore, don't miss it!

Love for Mr. Porky - Manipuri Pork Fry

I love to be pretty. But, in the modern definition, many people tell me that you have to stay slim to stay pretty. Some of the girls I know will starve themselves to stay slim. Some of them even have to count the calories before they put any food into their mouth. I totally don't agree with that. Pretty and Beauty is not just about being slim. It's the aura that comes out from the inner you, the confidence that shines, the personality that make yourself wonderful. And food can be a miracle. They make me smile no matter how tough my day has been. They give me energy to fight. Having good food with your love one(s), it is always, always incredible.

Never fail to pamper me, I had this amazing home cooked Manipuri Pork Fry for dinner. The spice, the ginger, the onion, and the amazing Mr. Pork, how can anyone resist such delicious yummy meal!

Mr. Porky. A very special type of meat that so many people are crazy of. I've been to many countries, and a lot of them have their own special style. The Chinese love pork and they have thousands type of preparing a nice pork dishes. The Korean loves to BBQ them. The Japanese fry them, or cook them in the shabu-shabu hotpot. And so many more to share! I just have to admit, my love for Mr. Porky, irreplaceable. :)

Pic 1: Korean BBQ with marinated spicy chicken and Pork! Super Yummy!
Pic 2: In Malaysia, they cook minced pork in dark soya sause and onions, topping on to rice vermicelli. They serve with 'pork ball' in soup. I love that as well that's on my top list whenever I visit Malaysia.
Pic 3: The Cantonese style Chinese restaurant serves very good roast pork. With the crunchy pork skin, and the nicely seasoned meat with some combination of fat = perfect!

So, I am also a food lover. :) Mr. Porky's lover. <3

Will share more with you next time, as I have to stop here before I start drooling looking at all my food photos. Just remember, healthy eating means everything in moderation. Don't overeat as you won't enjoy as much. And healthy lifestyle means you have to exercise as well to tone up yourself! (Alright I better go to the gym now!)

The Big Bun Theory 2 - Volumizing the bun

Hey girls, just a bit more to share about having a hair bun. I like the bun helper that I've shared in my previous blog and it's really easy to use. Until one week ago my friend showed me how she tie a super big bun, I feel like sharing with you girls! This method that she uses is extremely well for girls with thinner hair. It gives a lot more volumizing effect than the one I had shared.

I haven't tried this method before as my hair is already quite thick. My personal feeling is that if you are using this method, you'll probably want to make the bun higher if you want your face to look slimmer...and longer. :)

P.S: Again, remember to accessories the bun! ;)

Funky Patterns in my Wardrobe

I somehow fell very much in love with prints and patterns after I wrote my previous topic on Funky Patterns Funky Me. Here are my recent favorites in my wardrobe! The one on the left looks flowery, but if you look closer, it's all made up of tiny color boxes, like the pixels effect we get from camera! :)

These are a few things I'd love to add in to my collections as well!:)

<3 more to come!

The Big Bun Theory 1 - Not any normal Bun

When I was young I always think it's mature and elegant to have a hair bun. I always wonder how people do up such a nice and tidy bun, while my pony tail was not even thick enough. As I grow up, my hair gets longer and longer, I am excited and eager to have a bun for myself. But after so many attempts, I decided to keep that thought aside, as my effort to get a nice bun was always futile. It either ended up like a volcano, or it just get too messy to deal with. Until two years back, my Taiwanese housemate bought me a bun helper, I had so much fun and bun has been one of my favorite look nowadays. Girls, remember, accessorize your bun to create the feel you want! :)

This is the bun helper that my housemate bought for me from Taiwan:

It is a sponge with wire inside. The sponge give the hair more volume, while the wire keep the bun firm! Very easy to use! <3

Tips: If you want to position your bun higher, tie the pony tail higher and remember to coil it tighter, and use a few hair pins to pin them nicely!

Add in accessories and you're look fabulous! ;) Here're some personal collections on my hair accessories I got from Thailand, Malaysia, and the pink and red flowers on the left are from my Taiwanese housemate!

P.S: Girls, if any of you are looking for the bun helper, feel free to email me!

P.S.S: I did my bun today and my colleague said I look like a Korean doll! :) hehehe

Funky Patterns Funky Me!

Some months ago when I was browsing through fashion magazines, I saw that prints are getting back in style. Not refering to animal prints this time. It's the colourful geometric prints! :) Not a safe option that most ladies will go for, but it is undeniable that the loud colours and the artsy-futsy patterns are really eye-catching. The colourful geometric patterns combine the elements of cool and fun, but in Asian context, people might try to avoid due to the rather shy nature of our character. But frankly, I think that the outstanding colours do look really good on the Asian skin.

In the west, designers come out with patterns and even clashes of patterns, in a way to let the modern and versatile women to show their bold, independent and fun-filled character. Not a sweet look that many of my friends will go for, but it's something special that I don't mind having one of two pieces in my wardrobe. :)

Bold Clashes of Patterns:

For those of you who likes the colours and patterns, one less stressful way to start with would be the colourful printed legging. Pair with a simple top, or an oversized T-shirt, or even a plain collared shirt with a simple thin belt, mix and match and you'll find your very own style. P.S: The effect of having a looser top will give your legs a slimmer look. Try it out!

P.S: I just bought a bold red dress with patterns. Will share a photo with you girls next time! ;)

Accessories Craze

It has been noticeable that ladies are getting more sophisticated by adding accessories into their daily wear. Pairing with different accessories gives a very different effect, and thus equips your wardrobe much efficiently. A same blouse, with different necklaces, or even with or without a belt, gives fashion a whole different statement.

In Japan and South Korea, majority of the accessories are very sweet and girly. Most of them are made up from lace, pearls, ribbons, crystals and many times you see flowers and ribbons everywhere. Taiwanese are quite influenced by them, but from what I noticed, they are generally more conservative in term of the girly factor. Usually, with the Japanese & Korean accessories, you just have to combine with a very natural make-up, you’ll definitely be sweet enough for the day. And tips for this look -> go with a light-colored super juicy shiny lip gloss that pumps up your lips!
Korean Style Accessories: Sweet & Girly <3

In Thailand and Malaysia, other than the sweet Japanese & Korean accessories, they add in a little bit of ethnic’s flavor, and a little combination of the western culture. Probably because these markets have more tourists coming from western countries, they have quite a good market selling all the bigger size clothing and chunky accessories, catering to the tourists. It’s only until recent years where there’s huge increase in tourists from China when I see more shop selling Korean fashion and accessories.

Bangkok Chatuchak Market: Varieties with affordable prices!

In Singapore, it’s very cosmopolitan. The K-pop fans and the J-pop fans are everywhere. And there’s a group who follows the American/British fashion, where you see them in chunky necklace, spiked heels, big leather bags etc. If you want me to generalize the Singapore style, most of the ladies take priority in investing in this very expensive accessory – branded bag. Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuiton, you see them everywhere.

In Singapore: Bag can be a statement

Next time, I will share with you girls on specific accesories in more detail! Stay tuned! ;)
